Backgrounds and HDR Lighting for 3D Mockups
ThreadCam lets you choose what sits behind your 3D garment and how it is lit: a plain solid colour for clean product shots, or an HDR scene such as Studio, Sunset, Outdoor or Night that lights the fabric with a real-world lighting environment. It helps brands keep a whole range looking consistent.
Solid or HDR?
Solid backgrounds give you a plain backdrop in dark, charcoal, light grey, warm or cool white, or soft blue. Use them for marketplace listings and anywhere you need a consistent, neutral look.
HDR scenes use a real lighting environment, so highlights and shadows fall across the fabric the way they would outdoors or in a studio. Use them for lifestyle posts and ads.
Keeping a collection consistent
Pick one background and one camera angle for a collection and reuse them for every garment. Photos taken the same way look like a planned shoot, even when they came from a phone in an afternoon.

Can I upload my own background photo?
No. You choose from the solid colours and HDR scenes in the app.
