Camera Presets for 3D Clothing Mockup Videos
ThreadCam's camera presets turn a static 3D mockup into a short product video. Pick a move, such as an orbit or a dolly zoom, and the app flies the camera around your garment and records the result to Photos. It is for brands that need video content for ads and social posts but have no samples yet.
Which camera moves are there?
Moves range from calm to punchy, and each runs for roughly 4 to 12 seconds:
- Simple Orbit and Cinematic Orbit: a full turn around the garment.
- Detail Breather and Heartbeat Zoom: push in on the print.
- Spiral Reveal, Corkscrew and Orbit Dive: dramatic reveals.
- Vertigo Zoom: a dolly zoom, where the background warps behind the garment.
- Top-Down Spin and Low-Angle Hero: overhead or looking-up shots.
- Dutch Angle, Pendulum, Lazy 8, Elastic Snap and Flash Zoom: stylised moves for short social clips.
How recording works
You can preview a move before recording. When you export, ThreadCam counts down from three, hides the editing controls, plays the move and saves the clip to your Photos library. It uses iOS screen recording, so the clip matches what you see on screen.
Pair a slow orbit with the Studio background for a product page, or a fast move with the Walking T-Shirt for a hook in the first second of an ad.
Questions
Are videos watermarked?
On the free plan, yes. ThreadCam Pro removes the watermark.
Can I set my own camera path?
No. You choose from the presets; you can still rotate and zoom by hand for still photos.
